The statistics I mentioned are simply as they stand, at the moment, no slight to New Orleans intended. Either way, attendance figures are what they are.Doug Dawghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14287287108412180656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31117373.post-24944893653267388832008-03-13T09:24:00.000-05:002008-03-13T09:24:00.000-05:00I would not read much into the attendance numbers ...I would not read much into the attendance numbers this year for new Orleans. I am a Hornets season ticket holder and have been to almost every home game this season. Since the first of the year attendance is significantly higher, and most of our weekend games have been sellouts.

We even sold out a mid week game a few weeks ago.

The team had a hard time selling full season tickets for this season, because people were unsure about the team. There was a lack of excitement that accompanied them when the came for the first time.

Next year we will see many more full season ticket sales, and that will increase attendance in the first few months of the season, when there are alot of distractions with football and the holidays that keep walk up fans away.

New Orleans is becoming a great NBA market.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
