It is still scorching hot many days of the summer ... but we have nice days, too, and do have lots of shops for spices, etc., and we are welcoming with open arms those who are moving and have moved here from California and other places. You might as well come back yourself! (grin)

Thanks again for this great recipe. I've made it twice now but I do confess one problem ... restraining myself from eating it all so that my wife gets some, too (she loves it, also).Doug Dawghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14287287108412180656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31117373.post-6587929446163754322012-01-03T12:25:56.906-06:002012-01-03T12:25:56.906-06:00Hi Doug - I'm so happy you've re-discovere...Hi Doug - I'm so happy you've re-discovered your mom's old recipe. It is such a winner. My daughter, who grew up eating it, now makes it every couple of weeks. In fact, she and her family attend a Bible Study group and the group just clamors for this dessert.

I lived in Oklahoma City for a couple of years back about 1970 or so. As a Californian I found the weather hard to adjust to, and back then I had an awful problem finding lots of ingredients. Hope that has improved with the years.Carolyn Thttp://tastingspoons.comnoreply@blogger.com
