Hale's home in Chan...I actually live in John M. Hale's home in Chandler where he opened his first bank in 1902. I was so pleased that someone inquired about Wilkins-Hale State Bank failing bc I have wondered about Hale's demise. The entire family kind of falls off the face of the planet in the records after 1923 with the exception of an account his only child Clarence Bruner Hale gives to a historian about his dad's days as a Deputy U.S. Marshall in Indian Territory and touched on John's days as an Osage Indian agent. I can't find death records for John M. Hale, Mary Fretageot Hale or Clarence Bruner Hale. Does anyone know what happened to this family? The home I live in was left by Mary Hale to her hired help by the name of a Turner. I can't figure out why she left 3 homes and roughly $80,000 worth of antiques to her maid....Greeneyedbosoxloverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08975601508694435126noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31117373.post-2612794654486438582013-11-21T18:58:43.169-06:002013-11-21T18:58:43.169-06:00I actually live in John M. Hale's home in Chan...I actually live in John M. Hale's home in Chandler, OK. It was built in 1902. Thank you so much for inquiring about his failed bank bc I have been interested in his demise for some time. Hale had a successful bank in Chandler prior to Wilkins-Hale State Bank. Hale was also a Deputy US Marshall under Nix and an Osage Indian Agent prior to statehood. The Hale family is somewhat of a mystery. I can't find John or his wife Mary Fretageot Hale's death records or where they are buried. Also, their only child Clarence Bruner Hale kind of just falls off the face of the Earth in the records. Does anyone know what happened to these people after the OKC bank collapse? His wife left the house I live in to her hired-help Pearl Turner, plus 2 other homes on my street and roughly $80,000 worth of antiques. Seems weird she left nothing to her son....anyone have any ideas?Greeneyedbosoxloverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08975601508694435126noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31117373.post-50103395549559815052009-08-10T13:53:13.435-05:002009-08-10T13:53:13.435-05:00Frazier, I took a quick look in the Oklahoman'...Frazier, I took a quick look in the Oklahoman's archives and see that several articles are returned when the phrase "Wilkins-Hale State Bank" is searched for.
